Single Form Settings
While Workspace Settings apply globally, each individual form also has its own dedicated settings panel. In this guide, we'll explore how to customize a specific form's behavior, including custom URLs, submission limits, and post-submission actions.
Step 1: Open Form Settings
All form-specific configurations are located right inside the builder.
- Navigate to your central Forms dashboard and click on the form you want to edit.
- In the top navigation bar of the builder, click on the Settings tab.
Step 2: Configure a Custom URL Slug
By default, forms are accessed via a random string of characters. You can change this to something memorable.
- Locate the Custom URL Slug field in the settings menu.
- Enter a descriptive slug (e.g.,
feedback-survey-2026). - Your form will now be accessible at
mimoforms.com/f/feedback-survey-2026.
[!IMPORTANT]
Custom slugs must be completely unique across the entire Mimo Forms platform. If the slug you want is already taken by another user, you will receive an error and must choose a different one!
Step 3: Set Post-Submission Behavior
You can control exactly what happens immediately after a user successfully submits your form.
- Scroll down to the Post-Submission Action section.
- Inline Message: Choose this option to display a standard "Thank You" message. You can customize the exact text that appears.
- Redirect to URL: Choose this option to automatically forward the user to a completely different webpage (like your own website's homepage) upon success.
- Hide Form: Choose this option to remove the form entirely and only show the success message, preventing duplicate submissions.
[!TIP]
If you select "Redirect to URL", you can also check the box to "Pass form data as query parameters". This allows you to dynamically personalize the destination page (e.g.,yoursite.com/thanks?name=John)!
Step 4: Schedule Close Dates and Limits
If you are running a time-sensitive campaign or only have a limited amount of inventory, you can set the form to automatically close.
- Locate the Availability Limits section.
- Close Date: Select a date and time from the calendar. The form will automatically switch to "Draft" mode at that exact moment.
- Submission Limit: Enter a number (e.g.,
100). Once the form collects 100 submissions, it will lock and prevent any further entries.
